This course took AAC best practices from concept to practice by demonstrating their application on an AAC device. Information was provided on best practices for AAC customization based on a life participation framework. Ways to use the device therapeutically were also described. The course provided an in-depth device demo, including explanation of all basic features as well as instruction in how to personalize the AAC device.

Participants will be able to:
- Identify tools and techniques to determine personalized, functional vocabulary to program on an AAC device
- State two ways a Lingraphica AAC device can be used for therapeutic benefit
- Describe how to utilize basic features of a Lingraphica AAC device and how to program the device to add personalized vocabulary
Meet the Presenters
Caitlin Mueller, M.S., CCC-SLP
Caitlin holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a B.S. in Communication Studies from Utah State University and an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of the Pacific. She is a clinical program manager with Lingraphica, and has a background evaluating and treating clients with a variety of communication impairments using multiple AAC devices and apps.
